Jobs, workforce and skills
How workers are trained, how new technology changes jobs, and how labor markets stay open are standing themes for the G20, B20 and APEC.
Is your company solving this? Put it in front of the ministers and government officials, delegations, embassies, CEOs and NGOs working on it. See where your company fits →
Why it matters
Labor and employment ministers meet as part of the G20 each year, and the B20 runs a dedicated task force on employment and education. Their focus has shifted toward the effects of artificial intelligence and automation on work, and toward skills systems that can keep up.
For employers, the practical questions are apprenticeships, reskilling budgets, recognition of qualifications across borders, and how to attract and keep talent in tight labor markets.
