B20 South Africa

The Business 20 (B20) serves as the official G20 dialogue forum with the global business community. Established in 2010, the B20 is one of the most influential G20 Engagement Groups, bringing together business leaders from G20 member countries and beyond. Each year, the B20 provides a platform for companies and business organizations to articulate their perspectives on pressing global economic and trade issues, ensuring that the business community’s voice is heard at the highest levels of international economic governance.

Mission: To act as a strategic conduit for the global business community, fostering consensus and setting priorities on policies aimed at addressing global economic challenges.

Goal: To represent the interests of the business community in the G20 dialogue, facilitate meaningful interaction between the private and public sectors, and deliver impactful, actionable policy recommendations to the G20

In a world brimming with challenges, there is also immense opportunity. South Africa’s presidency of the G20 is a moment to inspire hope and unity, showcasing the power of collaboration to drive meaningful and inclusive growth.

We are proud to take the helm of the B20, embracing this role as a call to action to deliver measurable outcomes and build on the momentum of the recent Global South presidencies. Our vision for the B20 is to be a catalyst for collaboration and innovation, first between the global business community and the world’s policymakers, and then between the Global South and the North. We’ll continue to fight for the rights of women and climate resilience and help guide the policies that will have an impact on the lives of nearly five billion people.

To every business leader across Africa and the globe, this is an open invitation to join us to deliver sustainable and transformative change.
