B20 Priorities:

B20 Brazil has established seven task forces and one action council, each dedicated to a specific area of focus that resonates with the theme “Inclusive Growth for a Sustainable Future” and the 5 pillars that constitute the guiding claim of B20 Brazil.
These groups bring together experts and leaders from diverse economic sectors to strategize and formulate recommendations for a more equitable, sustainable, and prosperous world.

Trade & Investment:

The Trade & Investment task force discusses global trade and investment policies. Its primary goals include promoting open, equitable, and efficient international trade by reducing trade barriers, ensuring fair trade practices, and improving the resilience and efficiency of global supply chains. It strives to foster an environment conducive to cross-border investments, inclusive economic growth, and international cooperation.

Employment & Education:

The Employment & Education task force is engaged in workforce development and inclusive growth discussions. Its mission includes proposing policies that improve workforce skills through reskilling/upskilling and continuous learning programs aligned to the jobs with the most productive and sustainable prospects for the future. It also aims to reduce disparities in employment, foster equal opportunities, promote decent work, and discuss how public-private partnerships can improve basic education for young people. Bridging the gap between education and employment aims to drive economic growth while ensuring equal access to quality education for all.

Digital Transformation:

The Digital Transformation task force is dedicated to advancing digital infrastructure, fostering innovation ecosystems, and ensuring cybersecurity in the digital age. It will strive to bridge the digital divide by debating and proposing policies that aim at expanding access to digital resources and opportunities for all, making the digital revolution inclusive and beneficial for all society (companies and individuals). It will also explore the transformative potential of technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) to drive innovation and sustainability while ensuring the responsible use of data and technologies.

Energy Transition & Climate:

The mission of the Energy Transition & Climate task force is to advocate and propose actions for the transition to renewable energy sources, climate mitigation, and environmental sustainability. Its discussions and recommendations will be aimed at accelerating the global response to climate change, driving innovation, and advancing environmentally responsible practices. These discussions are at the forefront of the global effort to combat climate change, in which the private sector plays a crucial role.

Finance & Infrastructure:

The Finance & Infrastructure task force plays a pivotal role in discussions related to financing access and infrastructure development. Finance topics include discussions on access to capital, sustainable finance practices, investments, financial regulations, and financial inclusion. The infrastructure portion focuses on topics related to improving infrastructure investment, building resilient and sustainable systems, and promoting public-private partnerships. Together, they work to ensure that financial resources are available for infrastructure projects, driving sustainable economic growth while addressing the world’s pressing infrastructure needs.

Integrity & Compliance:

The Integrity & Compliance task force actively engages in discussions related to anti-corruption measures, ethical business practices, compliance with regulations, and the promotion of corporate governance that ensures accountability and ethical behaviour within organizations with the goal of upholding the highest standards of business ethics and conduct.

Sustainable Food Systems & Agriculture:

The Sustainable Food Systems & Agriculture Task Force prioritizes food security and sustainability in agriculture as central to its mission. Its discussions and policy recommendations will look to ensure sustainable agricultural practices and value chains, resilient food systems,  biodiversity conservation, and equitable access to nutritious food. By addressing these critical issues, this task force aims to contribute to global food security and environmentally responsible agricultural practices while empowering all agents throughout the agriculture supply chain.

Women, Diversity and Inclusion in Business:

The Women, Diversity, and Inclusion in Business Action Council is dedicated to fostering greater gender and diversity representation in the corporate world, with a special focus on women. A conscious effort is made to address disparities within underserved groups of women, with an unwavering commitment to leaving no one behind. Its primary goals include proposing policies that create inclusive workplaces where all individuals can thrive, promote equity and diversity in leadership positions, and ensure that businesses actively advance diversity and inclusion initiatives. Through these efforts, this action council aims to reshape corporate landscapes and drive positive societal change.
